what is the best flat screen computer monitor?
I need to buy a computer Monitor & I don’t know what would be the best one to buy. Also need to know if hd is something I need? My computer is Apevia, I run windows XP. Thanks
Most monitors come with near HD anyways. You don't really get into 1080p until you get 24 to 30 inch monitors which cost a small fortune.
I think that 22 inch monitors are the perfect size. As for makes, I have used a Samsung for several hours a day for the past year and it still runs strong. Samsung is an excellent brand. I've also heard good things about LG.
Acer monitors are cheap and should last a long time as well I assume.
Look for something in the 22 inch range, with a resolution of 1680×1050. That's pretty close to 1080p, and with the size of the monitor, the resolution is extremely sharp and 1080p isn't needed anyways.
EDIT: Mac monitors are the most ridiculously priced products that I've ever seen. I don't think the asker is looking to spend more on a normal sized monitor than they would on a 40-50" LCD TV.
