Is there a difference between a new computer monitor and new flat screen HDTV?
Can I use a monitor as a TV, and how would i do that?
Computers and televisions have different input cables than each other. If you want to hook up your satellite reciever or your dvd player to your computer monitor you will have to buy a video processor. They cost around a hundred dollars and you can get them at COMPUSA. They convert the signal from an S-video, RCA, or coaxial cable in to an outlet you can plug your computer cable in to. You won't be able to use a computer monitor as a tv without this. Hope this helped.

You cannot use a monitor as a TV because it has no tuner built-in. If you are using cable or sattelite with a set-top box, then you can attach that to a monitor.

you can use the TV as a monitor but would need a TV tuner card in yr PC to use the monitor as a TV - unless the monitor had a svhs, scart, or composite video input
