How Do You Clean a Flat Screen Computer Monitor?

I feel silly, but it's the kind of computer screen that reacts when you touch it. For all I know all computer screens are like that now. I've had this computer for about six years now and it's covered in spots and smudges. My husband always acts like I'm going to ruin it if I touch it. He plays with me and I'm a little gulible sometimes, though. The swiffer duster isn't good enough for the kind of spots that are on this screen. I'll bet there's a specific cleaner for it and I've just never heard of it.
Thank you for giving me a direct answer. I kind of left myself open to being made fun of. The wipes worked great. Thanks. he he.

Your husband is right. Touching an LCD screen (which you have) can damage it. Also, cleaning it with the wrong solvents can damage it as well.

Ammonia based products (windex) may damage the film that is on the LCD screen. Alcohol may also damage it. Clean it with a micro fiber cloth, not a paper towel. Paper towels can be too harsh and cause etching. Not to mention it will leave little particles of paper all over the screen.

I would use http://www.pixelclean.com . I use this for my laptop LCD screen and my LCD TV. I used promo code dd020 (zeros) and got 10% off my purchase. I'm sure the promo code still works.

Also, I'm not sure what solvents are in baby wipes. I wouldn't recommend it..but, it's you screen. :)

Good luck.
